Fun Mess

Last week was Day 1 of making “Ichigo Hollow Mask”, some of you came to the Club but a lot of you didn’t, and those of you who didn’t come missed a lot of FUN.

We used Newspaper, Water, and Flour to make Papier-Mâché masks that resemble Ichigo’s mask (main character from Bleach) when he turns into a Hollow. Thanks to all the members who came, the activity was a success AND a huge MESS. By the end of the meeting, everyone was covered from head to toe in white sticky flour paste.

I would have liked to show some pictures but Alex broke the camera…Alex you Suck!!! LOL

The masks are all dry and ready for painting this Thursday. See you soon!!!

Open Your World

Here is a doodle from one of our creative people at the club, Kristally. The artist named the little girl Bonnie, in the drawing she seems to have opened a door to a magical world. When I look at the drawing it reminds me a lot of Alice in Wonderland, I think that is what she was going for.

Thanks to your leader Chef Alex and every one who came to the meeting, making SUSHI was a success. Everyone had a lot of fun as you can see on the slide show above. Yes,it was messy and crazy and fun.

By the way everyone did a great job on the sushi, they all tasted great!!!

I am done making the Hollow Mask and here are some pics:

It is pretty easy to make but it takes a while to dry before you can put paint on it, so it’s going to take two days to make.

No worries we are making the mask during the summer when we meet every week.

May is taking over!!!

Hello Anime Club members this is May speaking, I am writing to you to inform you that your Leader Alex is on vacation and so I will be supervising the next anime club meeting.


As usual the club will meet in the auditorium at JFK Library 6:30 pm-7:30 pm, regular members remember to bring friends new members are always welcomed.


Next meeting we will be showing The Slayers Episode 3 and for the first time we will be having Otaku Craft Time where we will be making the Note book from "Death Note". Craft material will be provided but if you could bring “whiteout” it will be appreciated.

Onigiri Felt Keychain

Since I don’t know your skill level in sewing I made this fairly simple Step by Step picture tutorial for you guys. In this tutorial you will learn how to make a pattern and sew two pieces of fabric together by using a Straight Stitch (Running Stitch).
Together with the Tutorial I added a link to a website that will show you how to do a Running Stitch. Also I used some Japanese terms that you might not know so I added a link to explain what an Onigiri is.
